Tatum Tot Spice

So the Mum got us a yummy stuff thing that she has been put into our food the last couple of days. The Mum says she doesn’t like it, it’s really gross and it stinks. But I think it smells super good and tastes even better!

Though the Mum says cookie recipes are better than tripe, I have to disagree. She got it from a place called GreenTripe.com and it came super solid frozen. So she had to let it be unfrozen in the fridge just a little bit before she chopped it up and then gave us some!

I want more and more of it but she only gives us a little bit because she says we aren’t used to it. It’s green and smelly and she says it’s super good for us with lots of vitamins and gooey good stuff. Yum!

Above too is a picture of our six food bowls, but that was from before Lucy had to eat liquid yummy food. She used to eat out of a bowl like us, but can’t now that she’s kinda sick. But she still tries to push me around!

What do you eat? For breakfast I eat a crunchy breakfast and it’s yummy too!

Since I did the nice tutorial blog post on How To Make A Dog Bed, I thought I would continue with this one, which is about how to chew a bone! Because I think some dogs actually chew funny, like Muffit, and not like me and so this is how I do it.

As you can see, the Mum didn’t pick the sock up off the floor but I didn’t care, I was enthralled with my bone. And I like to chew like this… laying on my side! Sometimes it’s hard to get a good bone grip with the fangs whilst lying on one’s doggie side chewing, but it’s just fun anyway. And sometimes the bone slips out and Yay! then you can go chase it!

But you see, some dogs like to chew bones while on their tummies, like Muffit here. The Mum says this is a super cute picture of Muffit, but I think the pictures of me are way super cuter than any of Muffit. What do you think?

Sometimes the Mum has to clean up the floors that we chew on really good, ’cause Lucy and Angel need some incontinence supplies as they don’t seem to know when they have to potty anymore. But the Mum and Dad say that they are getting older and so that just happens. But the floors are still good to chew things on, though the couches might be better, and same with the way cool dog beds we have too.

So anyways, back to the topic of bone chewing, which is much more interesting than the topic of peeing, is that when one chews a bone, one must have as much fun as possible. And lying on one’s dog side is much more fun than lying on one dog’s tummy instead. How do you chew your bone?

The Mum says she is gonna do something called Painting in the spare bedroom. Last weekend she did the Sanding thing part, and she is gonna do more tomorrow she says. But she also was saying what a good helper I am.

She had all this Sanding Papers and if one fell on the floor, I would make sure I picked it up for her! And this is me picking it up, though I had to do some chewing of it too, and some ripping of it, and the Mum was laughing at me and saying some hoomans would just yell and take the paper away and get mad. But not my Mum. She laughs and giggles and plays with me with the Sanding Papers. She is a good Mum! Then sometimes she trades me for something else like a yummy bone or a treat. And I like that too!

What do you help your Mum and Dad with?

Well, we all know that us smooth collies love to play. I went to the park again last night, and played and played and played! It was sooo much fun. The Mum didn’t take any pictures though because it was getting too dark. So I have nothing to post! Oh well.. maybe I’ll get some old park pictures and post them up instead!

And so the Mum and I chat sometimes about how fun it is to play games, and I guess hoomans like to play games, too. And the Mum says she isn’t supposed to play games at work, so she doesn’t, but sometimes other people do. And there is this web game that some people play that is called Banzai that I looked at on the computer a little bit and it might be fun to try! And here is a little video too if you like videos… though the Mum had to download and install an iTunes player so we could be able to watch it. Maybe you already have that on your computer.

And here’s a picture of a fun wallpaper that we got too.. though the Mum usually has up wallpapers of me, ’cause I’m so gorgeous.. so maybe she’ll use this one and maybe she’ll use one of me!

The Mum says that we go through our dog beds too fast, and she has to spend too much money buying dog beds. So she had an idea that we can make our own! So she went to the store and she bought some materials… and so we made a dog bed!

First what you do is when the Mum lays the material on the ground, you have to break it in. And me and Muffit did that by playing on it. Then I did the same by laying on it.

And then you play on it some more and you help the Mum as she cuts it up into a dog bed sized chunk.

And then sometimes it’s okay to let your big sister Lucy lay on the material just to make sure it is okay for her, too.

Then next you have to have the ends sewed together. And the Dad said he doesn’t sew, and we can’t put up pictures of him sewing, so this is a mystery man sewing the ends of the material together for the dog bed.

Then next you stuff the bed (later to be destuffed, I’m sure) with stuffing that we pulled out of a couch cushion that we are also using as a bed! So here is all of us helping the Mum stuff the new bed. The Dad took these pictures.

Then you get another mystery Dad person to sew the very last bit of the bed together… and at the end, you get to lay on it!

And it’s super comfy! And the Mum says it can go in the washering machine, too!

That’s how you make a dog bed!

On Saturday morning the Mum, Me, Chase, Marley and Aunt Christy went to do a flyball demo in Salem and we went in my new cool Minivan. I hope the Mum has gotten auto insurance online for it, so we can all be safe! The Salem is in Utah.. not Oregon where the scary Salem is. This was a goofy Salem city and the dog event there was small. And I didn’t get to do flyball yet but I did get to do the obedience thing but I didn’t know what stay meant.. what is that anyway? But I can sit and stand and down real pretty!

There was a critter there called a Llama that was super tall. I kinda sniffed at his nose but didn’t care about him much more than that. I liked sniffing with the other dogs better. Chase got to do flyball and he doesn’t care about Llamas or little cows when he’s doing flyball. There were little cows too and they got married and the Mum thought that was kinda dumb. But she thinks hooman marriage is kinda dumb too so don’t listen to her!

I got to wear my Tiara a little bit but the Mum kinda put it on crooked so it looks a bit funny here. She hasn’t put the ear holes in yet like she is supposed to so that it’ll fit on my non furry head and with my perky cute ears better. The Mum is kinda slow about stuff like that.

The Mum was painting the spare bedroom today though, which she’s put off for eight years she says (I haven’t even been alive that long!) and I helped and I’ll show you pictures of that later!

We went to the dog park today! And the Dad even came with. Me, Muffit, Levi and Angel got to go. The Mum said Chase doesn’t like the other dogs too much, and Lucy can’t eat treats anymore, so it was just us four. Plus, there are only supposed to be two dogs per person so it worked out well!

There was water to walk in, and there were lots of other dogs to play with! I went off with some other hooman guy and his dogs because they were fun, and the Mum and Dad said they were worried about me just a little bit. But I like dogs so much, that I stick around them for sure!

The Mum says this is her favorite dog park. It’s a long way to the lake at the end, and then a long way back. There’s lots of shade and lots of room to run and run and run. And I have to check out all the dogs, and sometimes I forget that the Mum and the Dad and the rest of my pack is there, because I get to excited. But the Dad says that my brother Levi used to be the same way when he was young.

Every time I came back to the Mum she gave me yummy treats and told me I was a good girl for going back to her. So once in a while I’d hang out with her. She said this is how she taught Levi and Lucy and Chase to come back to her… at the Tanner Parley’s dog park, so she wants to start taking me, too.

Yay! I love the dog park! It really tired me out, too. After I got to sleep on my comfy baby bedding that is snuggly and soft. And that’s fun too.

In the trailer, I just wanted to wear my tiara, and Chase and Muffit wanted to play. And even though Chase looks kinda mean here, he is just being a dork. He plays with all his teeth out! And Muffit, as you can see, is a little bit thinking Chase is a dork, too.

Chase kinda tilted my tiara a little bit… which made me mad, but the Mum fixed it for me. Which is good ’cause I don’t want it to fall off. And we played in the trailer ’cause we didn’t have a xbox 360 to fool with.. we just had each other, and no TV either!

The Mum watched a show on the TV that she called Bones last night.. though I didn’t see any chew bones on it, just dogs barking! And every time they barked, I barked too, ’cause I thought they were gonna come out of the TV and get me! And I had to bark at them to make them go away. The Mum said it was a show that had a lot of things about dogs that aren’t really real, but it did have a good message that people who get dogs need to keep them for ever and ever, even if they get big and they didn’t expect it!

The Mum is a dork! She keeps saying she has to fix the server where our blogs live instead of letting me post! Bah she can be so dorky sometimes. Because I’ve been wanting to post about what a pretty princess I am!

Isn’t this the prettiest Tiara you have ever seen! I took it with me to flyball and I wore it around!

I had to fix it a little bit, ’cause the Mum didn’t put it on my very well at one point. But no, I am not bowing to anyone! I’m showing Muffit how he has to bow to me, just like this! And I’m on a nice modern sofa inside the trailer. We stayed in the trailer, it was fun! I like the trailer!

Reilly’s Mum was the one who made me this way pretty perfect tiara! I was so excited when it came in the mail. And I do think I look better in it than Reilly did… but then he was kinda pretty in it too. LOL, if boys can be pretty, and the Mum here says they can!

I’ll get tons more pictures of me in my tiara, and Laurie, our flyball captain, says I need a whole princess outfit to go with it, wouldn’t that just be the coolest?!
