Getting a Foster Sister!

Sasha
So the Mum calls me from work (okay she really called the Dad but I listened in) and told us that we are going to get a foster sister! Her name is Sasha and her people couldn’t keep her anymore and so dropped her off at the Utah Humane Society. I don’t know if Sasha was a very happy girl or not… the Humane Society people said that her nose is all scarred from her rubbing it on a chain link fence.
And that is just kinda super sad. So she might have had to live outdoors instead of inside with a loving family. And the family that left her didn’t leave any information about her… but the nice lady at HSU said that she might not know to potty outside instead of inside (but sometimes I forget to do that too) and that’s okay at our house.
The Mum says we might need some wholesale shampoo because when long fuzzy haired rough collies come to us right from a shelter, they can be matted and even stinky. So the Mum says tonight she is gonna probably be giving brushes and baths. So I better hide in case the Mum decides that I need a bath too. I don’t like baths but I like when our foster brothers and sisters smell better!
I’ll let you know tomorrow how Sasha is and if she will play with me. I just have to tell my brother Chase to be nice to her because the HSU is not a fun place to have to stay… my brother Muffit stayed there for a while and he got super sick and he says it wasn’t fun at all, a home is a much better place. So I’m excited to meet Sasha!
On this day..

Oooo yes Lady Kaos, good point, I’ll make sure she gets even more tired so no bath! He he heee…
We will do our best to make Sasha feel welcome and safe and loved! The Mum just wishes we had a bigger house for all us doggers!
Hi Tatum! It is so nice to meet you! You are very pretty and I can’t believe how much your brother looks like me! Do they know anything about his history? How old is he? I found one of my litermates already and am always looked for any others! Thanks for sniffing by my blog and I can’t wait to read more of your adventures. Good luck with your new foster sister! Once we have our own house Mom & Dad say we are going to have fosters too!
Licks,
Kylie
Kylies last blog post..On the Tenth day of Christmas…
Hi Kylie! You and Chase sure do look a lot alike! Chase was left at the Utah County Shelter in the middle of the night back in 2003… the hoomans didn’t even have the decency to hand him over they just left him in the parking lot! So they couldn’t catch him for three days so they named him Chase. We don’t know where he came from really but he was about a year old… now he’s about five and he loves agility and flyball and running like me!
Super nice to meet you too!
HI Tatum and Sasha!
I hope you are both getting along and the baths are over. I keep having to get rinsed off because I LOVE to run in the MUD. My foster collie brothers think I’m a little nuts, but they like me anyway.
Sasha, just be yourself and you’ll fit right in! You’re in a perfect place.
Hugs,
Ranger (who may soon be adopted and living on an alpaca farm!)
Hi Ranger! No baths whew! We lucked out. Sasha is really super fun to have here though we haven’t played enough yet!
I’m not sure sure about Mud… us collies like clean feet and bodies!
Hi, Tatum!
I am sure Sasha will be happy at your house!
Your mom is very nice!
If you want, I can go there and get a bath instead of you!
Take care
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Hi Lorenza… oh thanks I’d love if you took the bath instead of me! We didn’t have to take any last night whew! Sasha is very fun to have around already!
Wahoo, Sasha and Deacon have the same Gotcha Day, 10 December. We wish her and your entire family a double dose of the collie blessing. “May your tail wag, your belly be full, and may you have a forever family to rub your tummy and scratch behind your ears.”

You guys are so totally pawesome to take in that cutey and show her what a REAL home is like. I hope she fits in well and learns a lot at your house so she can find a good furever home.
Joe Stainss last blog post..WTF?!
Thanks Joe! She is super cool already and we like her, and we will find her a super great home!
That is an awesome thing you are doing by fostering her. So sad about her nose though. I’m sure she will be happy staying with you guys for a while. Maybe she will even learn a few tricks!

~lickies, Ludo.
Thanks Ludo! I like Sasha already and she is my friend and I want to play with her!
It’s very good of your mom to take in a foster dog. We’ve done that too, but we have a tendency not to give them back.
Dennis the Vizslas last blog post..me vs. the foks
Hi Dennis! Ya the Mum and Dad here have tended to keep us fosters too! that’s why there are six of us now! But the Mum says no to seven… no seven!
