Tatum Tot Spice

Yay we get to go on a road trip this weekend! I’m excited. Me and Chase get to go. Muffit doesn’t… the Mum says Muffit needs to learn how to relax and she doesn’t have enough time for him when we are on the road. I don’t take as much time, I’m easy peasy!

It’s our first flyball fun place in months and months! I’m excited. I love to come with and play with Chase. Plus, we get to bring Marley with us down in the van! Woot that’ll be fun. And we’ll get to stay with her and Dylan and their Mum Christy in the hotel!  Chase isn’t too excited about that, he’s not too excited about other dogs, but I am! I love dogs and I love to play and play. And even if they don’t want to play and play I still like them anyway!

So I probably won’t blog until I get back next week, if I’m not too tired!

This has been a busy weekend for the Mum so she hasn’t turned the laptop on for me so I can post. And I went with today to the agility trial and the Mum had me do some mat stuff that was fun. And guess who we saw?

This is Sonny isn’t he almost as pretty as me? He’s a smooth sable collie just like me and he’s a boy and he’s fun to hang out with!

And at home my cousin Layla came to visit and we played! That was way fun too, she is a very tiny puppy but I didn’t bounce on her too much, and Muffit didn’t either!

Then after we played we had a good nap on the dog shelf, even though the Mum didn’t get a good in focus picture! Oh well, she’s the Mum so what can I say. Anyway, I’m going to nap now I’m tired too!

So the Mum got this new weird thing from a place called Running is Cleaning or something and she wants me and Muffit to do something with it (not at the same time) but I’m not sure exactly what she wants me to do.

Lick It?

So I figured out that it has yummy stuff that comes out if I lick it but the Mum kept wiggling it and so I tried to bite at it but she wiggled it some more!  Eventually the Mum was wiggling it so much that I got a grip of it with my back teeth and I squeezed… and guess what?! Lots of yummy stuff came out! But then I thought Cool so I licked it some more!

Bite it?

So I grabbed it with my front teeth too but that didn’t do much good to get the treats out, so I kinda figured out that if I scruntch it with my back teeth like I’m some big tough moving trucks then I can get more stuff out!

But I still thought it was more efficient to lick the yummy stuff off once I squished some out!

So Like I said I still don’t know quite what the Mum wants me to do with this but if I squish it with my back teeth then lick it that seems to work pretty good!  I hope the Mum gets this yummy thing out again so we can play with it some more! I like eating treats out of stuff!

Then the Mum had me go over and back over the jump thingy too that is supposed to be for flyball and that was fun, then I rubbed my head in her and played with Muffit some now it’s time for a nap!

YUCK! The Mum gave us all BATHS today and it was AWFUL! I so superly duperly hate baths. When I’m in the tub and the Mum is spraying water on me, i stand on the edge of the tub and I want to get out, out out!

I think the Mum needs to Go Away and take some weight loss pills so she doesn’t bother us anymore with icky icky baths!

And all of us got a bath, every single one of the six of us! The above photo is me, Chase and Muffit all wet and not liking the Mum One Bit!

I hate being wet! So I have to lick myself dry.. but I don’t do it very long ’cause it’s kinda boring. But I still hate being wet!

So to tell the Mum what I think if her, I bit her towel after she was out of the shower! She said Tatum, don’t tell people I’m in a towel, but I’m going to anyway because she gave us all baths and they were awful!

We got bones after, so that’s good, but still baths are icky!

Walking with Mum

So we did more of Tatum’s Mat Flying! It was fun yesterday. I was going to post yesterday but then the Mum shut off her laptop too early and I didn’t get a chance to, dangit! So here I am today. And although we didn’t use any sexy corsets in my mat flying game we still had fun. And the second time we did it, there was no one down at my mat, just Aunt Christy taking pictures. But I went over the jumps every time!

Jumping

The first picture is of me walking with the Mum. The Mum wants me to always stay connected to her because I can get distracted a lot. And if I get distracted the Mum is afraid I’ll run off at agility and go play with other dogs. So we do a lot of this walking around stuff and the Mum has treats though so it’s okay, I’ll stick around her for yummy treats!

The second picture is of me going over the jumps don’t I just look like the cutest flyball collie in the whole wide world? I think I do!

Mat Flying

And then here I am on my mat at the other end of the jumps. See how good I am? And I got my treat off my mat. The Mum says she forgot our white target lid because that would have been better than the mat but I dunno I like the mat. But then I like anything that has a treat on it yum yum yum!

The Mum got me a new mat too it’s purple! And it’s bigger than the little one I had before. It’s a Mutt Mat and it’s pretty and comfy and even Lucy likes to lay on it. And purple looks better with pink than red does, so I’m glad it’s purple, and bigger, because now I fit on it instead of the red one where only my front half fit on it… but sometimes I forget about where my back half is and so I just get my front half on this purple big one too.

The Mum says she’s gonna start teaching me how to jump on the box today too so I’m excited about that. Yay!

I Like To Read

Yup, I like to read. The Mum left out this cool flier for me the other day and I made sure that I gave it a good read. Though the Mum says that she can’t read stuff very well after I read it. I read about Movado watches and sales of dog treats and even things the Mum might be interested in.

Reading is really fun, do you like to read?

Oh and hey, with Sasha gone and my other friend boy gone (who I’m not supposed to talk about for a while, it’s a secret!) our house is kinda boring now.  But I played with Muffit and Chase a little bit today. And now we are all sleeping and taking it easy. The Mum says she’ll try to remember to bring the camera to flyball practice tomorrow so I can show you all how good I’m doing!

I did have fun at training yesterday and I got to learn this thing called a Broad Jump and I wanted to walk on it instead of jump over it but it sounded scary and so I jumped and the Mum gave me a treat for it. Yum!  The Mum says I can do three jumps in a row now and that is really good!  Soon I’ll be able to do a hundred!

Nose Before

You guys kinda know about Sasha right? She came to stay with us for a little while and I liked playing with her. She had icky scabs on her nose and the Mum and the Dad didn’t know what they were, so Sasha had to go to the vet and they found out what it was.

Sasha has Pemphigus which I guess isn’t a good thing to have.  And so we were all worried about Sasha.  But the doctor said that actually maybe it wasn’t all that bad and she got to take something called Vitamin B3 and Tetracycline which was supposed to help her better. And guess what?

Nose After

She is better now! She even had hair growing on her nose and it’s getting browner and not so pink anymore. And even though I like pink as a color pink isn’t a good color for us collie’s noses to be. Nope! Brown is better for noses. And Sasha is really happy now and ran around and doesn’t need Leptovox and she even got a new home!

The new family came to pick her up today. They made a long drive all the way from someplace in Wyoming that’s far north from here and colder in the winter. But she’ll be indoors and she even will have kids to play with!  Some of the kids came with and they played with her in the yard today and Sasha had fun with them!  She rubbed on them and she woofed at them and she looked happy too.

This bottom picture was from Sasha’s nose just today before her new forever family came to pick her up.  See the hair growing back? Yay!  And her teeths are cleaned and my Aunt Laurie gave her a bath and a brush and made her pretty and smell all nice!

The Mum and the doggie doctor still say that the new family will have to watch her nose and stuff for a while to make sure she is all okay. But Sasha has really good chances of being all okay for a really long time. And the Mum was sad to see Sasha go but she was also happy that Sasha got a super forever family. Yay!

The Mum says that Utah Collie Rescue, Inc. could still use some monies to help pay for the bills that Sasha got when she stayed with us.  To help other collies to and to finish paying up for the bills for Sasha.  And we are all glad we got to know Sasha and the Mum says Sasha left footprints on our hearts that we will never forget, just  like all us rescue dogs do.

Me Inna Basket

I like to sleep in a basket! This is me. This is Hudson’s basket, though. He was one of the cool smooth collie boys that flew in with me from Houston over a year ago!  He went to a great new home in Logan Utah and he has a baby human brother now!  The Mum heard about him recently and she is happy. Me too, ’cause Hudson was my buddy.

I’m still looking at old pictures from the Mum’s pictures and so this one is one I found too. I like to run and run and then sleep and sleep. The Mum says she needs a nap when she watches me run so much! But then she won’t need Fenphedra to burn all her extra fat off! I don’t have any extra fat I’m just perfect.

This afternoon me and Levi and Muffit are gonna go learn some more training things and I think other dogs will be around again, so it might be hard for me to watch the Mum. But I’ll remind her to bring the treats I like best instead of new weird ones!  Yay for fun training and yummy treat eating!

Chase Plays Clue

So I was looking through the Mum’s old pictures of when before I lived with them and we like to go camping… and there was this funny picture of Chase playing a game called Clue when they went camping before me. And so I just had to post it because isn’t it funny? I don’t know if Chase won, my Dad won or my Aunt Mary Lee won, but the Mum said she didn’t win she never wins when she plays Clue.

This is in our super fun trailer we have when we go camping. And there is a heater so that we don’t get cold… when the Dad doesn’t forget to put Proppaine in it that is!  And the next time when we go camping I’m going to have the Mum and Dad pull out the Clue Game and I’m gonna play, and I’ll bet I’ll win!  And if I don’t win I’ll chew up all the pieces and then I’ll win anyway! And maybe to remember I’ll need some laptop memory for the Mum’s laptop then I can play on it too!

My sister Lucy is in the background there sleeping. She’s really good at sleeping, and at pushing me around but I’d rather push her around!

Me Jumping!

So we went to do flyball practice today! It was fun.  This picture is from last summer when I did lots of jumps under the Plum trees and I was the best one there… of course. But this time we were inside this new building and I had to sniff around a bit. And then when the Mum sends me over the jumps to my Aunt Laurie, well I kinda sometimes don’t want to go to her and I’d rather run off and sniff stuff. So Aunt Laurie had this idea that they could put my mat down at that other end and I could land on it!

And so maybe we’ll do a new thing called mat flyball! I can go over the jumps and slide onto my mat, and then turn around and go back to the Mum for a treat!  Hrm.. I think it’s a great idea and I should invent the sport. Maybe call it something really neat like Tatum’s Mat Flyball or something. But balls might not be involved so maybe it’ll be Tatum’s Mat Flying… oo that sounds neat! He he I gotta rename the title of this post to that funner name!
