I did a lot of agility this weekend and it was really fun! I did good yesterday and I did the class called Gamblers, and the class called Standard. This video is from the class called Gamblers and it was an ASCA trial and I had a lot of fun!
The Mum said that there is a distance challenge in Gamblers but she didn’t make me do it because I’m still kinda new at agility. But that’s okay because I did everything else like I was supposed to. I may not have done a jump or two but the Mum didn’t care she just said we should keep going and have lots of fun! And so we did!
I even did all of my weave polls right, the first time, every time, in all the classes they had them in. The Mum says she is so proud of me. And of course she is because I’m just really good at agility! The Mum says I run a little bit slow though, but that’s okay because I look pretty when I’m going slow.
We didn’t do agility in the metal buildings at this place, we did it outside on the grass. In the mornings it was really nice and cool and fun. But then in the afternoons it got a bit too hot and I wanted to go find the shade more than I wanted to do the jumps. But the Mum said Tatum… she said, Tatum you gotta keep going for a little while. And so I did. The Mum says she has to say when we start and stop, and well I think I’m fooling the Mum because I’m the one who wants to say that!
But we had fun and the Mum says I might get to do an AKC agility trial in January. Way fun!
Hi I'm Tatum and welcome to my blog! I'm a smooth sable collie, the prettiest kind! This is my blog, where I talk about all the fun things I do. I am learning stuff called agility, and obedience... and I go on walks and play in the park and bark at the TV and lots of fun stuff!

I came across this page somehow, and I was hoping that maybe you might have some advice for me. My husband and I came across a Jack Russell Terrier that was abandoned at a dog park near our home. So we decided to foster him. We have had him now for over 2 months, and we are having trouble finding him a great family. We have potty trained him, taught him inside manners, paid for his vaccinations, and he is ready to find a fur-ever home. We have 2 other dogs and a baby, and we are struggling with the overwhelming needs of a Jack Russell. – Anyways, I thought maybe if I got him into some type of agility, he would be more adoptable, and be able to get some of his energy out. So how and where do you get involved in this type of thing, and is it expensive?
Hi there and thanks for visiting my blog! Agility is really super fun, and lots of dogs have a really good time. You probably would want to find someone to train with in your area. A good positive agility trainer. Jack Russel’s have a lot of energy for sure!
Agility isn’t really cheap, though. It can cost $150 for a 6 week course. Or private lessons might cost more. Good luck and I hope it all works out!
