Our Ramp
The Dad built the ramp and then the Mum looked at it and said that it wouldn’t do. Because it was pretty high off the ground and she was afraid we would fall off. Well I wouldn’t fall off, but Levi might ’cause he’s kinda a dork. So then the Dad pup up sides on the ramp so nobody would fall off.
It took us all a while to realize that we couldn’t go around the ramp anymore to go up the stairs. But I figured it out really fast. It took Levi about three days to figure it out. See, he’s kinda a dork, and the ramp is for him! Jet and Chase and Muffit figured it out pretty fast, too.
This picture is of me sunbathing on the ramp. It has a flat spot right out of the dog door so that Levi doesn’t bend his back going out the door. His back had an icky arthritic bridge forming between a couple of his vertebrae on his spine and so it hurts him. The other day Chase pushed Levi over and then Levi hurts for a couple of days and that’s sad, because I don’t like it when Levi hurts ever. Or anyone else either.
Maybe if Chase had some surge protectors he wouldn’t rush out the back door and push Levi over. But it doesn’t take much to push Levi over, which is sad. Levi was a big strong boy and sometimes I can see the Mum leaking from her eyes because she doesn’t want Levi to get old. The Mum loves Levi with all her heart, as she does all of us, and she wants us all to live as long as she does. I wish we all could, too.
Here’s another picture of the ramp when the Dad was building it:

Hi I'm Tatum and welcome to my blog! I'm a smooth sable collie, the prettiest kind! This is my blog, where I talk about all the fun things I do. I am learning stuff called agility, and obedience... and I go on walks and play in the park and bark at the TV and lots of fun stuff!

hi tatum! i agree that us sable smoothies are the very best collies!!! My mom is wondering if i can be a versatility collie since i have done a lot of “things” like herding and obedience, i even did well at being a beauty pageant boy (but i didnt like it very much). Moms computer wont go to the rules page for versatility, do you know more about it? I am pretty good at agility but mom stinks at it so we need to know the minimum agility we would have to do to get a versatility prize.
Very nice! We are talking about putting one up for Sam so he can get on the bed at night – Mom doesn’t like when he jumps up and down so much!
Sam
It makes my momma eyes leak a little just to read about Levi getting old and stumbly. That ramp is wonderful. Momma and Master wanted to build one for me, but they decided it would be too scary. Plus we get snow and it would be more like a slippy slide. So anyway, glad you have one and tell that little so and so Chase to respect his elders.
Slobbers,
Mango
What awesome parents you are! Great ramp for your beloved Levi.
Hi Ruben! You can go to the American Working Collie Association Website and find all the info! They have really good stuff there.
