Tatum Tot Spice

I’m a smooth sable collie girl with a lot to say!

About Me

I am Tatum, and I love other dogs! Will you come and play with me? I want to play… I love to play and run and hop like a bunny!

Oh… I was born in Texas, The Mum says. It was hot there and humid. Here in Utah it is dry and it snows. Snow is so much fun! I like to play in the snow…

Oh The Mum says I need to say more about me. Well, I think I was born in the spring but I”m not sure. The Mum says my birthday is the first of May, whatever that is. She likes May because her birthday is in May too… May first, May first she says! May in the numbers 2006. She is guessing, though. In Texas I was with a lot of other dogs. Not many people. The Mum says I lived with someone who collected too many dogs and didn”t take care of them all right. Well, I learned how to play! Do you want to play…?

I am learning all about the world. Cars are scary, they make so much noise! But the house… oooo… everything is so fun to check out and sniff and chew on. Though The Mum and The Dad trade me toys all the time. That’’s okay, I like the new ones too!

So what is this blog thing? No idea… I just want to play!

(Note from the Mum: Tatum came to Utah Collie Rescue on September 1, 2007. She had been born and was living in the care… or lack thereof, of a collector, also known as a hoarder. We don’t know her age, we were told she was about 2 years old, but we are convinced she is younger because she is so puppy like (including chewing up everything in the house.) While discretion is in order here so I will not go into detail about the collector, Tatum was removed from the collector’s home with 50 collies. This same collector had been busted for having 70 collies in deplorable conditions in December 2006. Utah Collie Rescue, Inc., was fortunate to get Hudson and Bianca from the Dec 06 bust, and Tatum from the June 07 bust. Houston Texas has many collies and sometimes the people in the surrounding areas just can’t adopt them all. Here in Utah we have few collies and Hudson was adopted in a month, and Bianca in two months. Tatum.. well, we just fell in love with her spirit and could not give her up. So she will live her Mum, her Dad, her smooth blue collie brother, two smooth blue collie sisters, and one black border collie brother (five total dogs, we love them all). She will learn how much fun agility, obedience, and flyball are. And we’ll see if she likes herding, too. Tatum came to us very shy but she is already blossoming into an amazing, wonderful girl and I look forward to helping her out on her blogging adventure.)
