The Mum saw this old picture of me and Jet and Lucy and showed me and so I wanted to post it up. Aren’t we cute? This is from last year and it was the end of September. Today is the beginning of September. The Mum said it was raining on this day last year and that it’ll get cold again soon. Waaa hoo! I like the cold! I like to run around and run around when it’s cold. I have lots more energy then. The Mum doesn’t like it cold very much though. But I like the snow and to run and play in it with Jet and my other brothers and sister.
We are safe in the house when it’s cold out so don’t have to get any online term life insurance because we are happy and healthy. Though the Mum says Lucy is getting a little old. And so is Levi. And we don’t want them to get old even if Lucy and me fight sometimes to be boss girl. I still love her and want her to stay around for a long long time. Levi will be 11 soon and Lucy will be 12 soon. I’m only four and a half so I’m still a young pup, so says the Mum.
I have some agility to do this Sunday and maybe I’ll have video but maybe not. The Mum says no one who can video will come and she’s not sure she wants to ask anyone else. So we will see. I hope to get video so you can see me do my first AKC agility trial!
The Mum says even though I have my Rally Novice title now with AKC that she still wants to teach me lots of fun stuff. So I think that’s great! Here is my second Rally Novice leg up in Idaho Falls last weekend. I had so much fun! The Mum was a dork and didn’t change the batteries in the camera for the last leg and it was my best one yet! She says she’s going to teach me that heeling thing that I haven’t quite figured out yet so we can do off leash stuff too.
Maybe if I get real good I can earn money at this and then the Dad won’t have to do construction employment anymore. But the Mum says there’s no money to be made, only money to be spent. So that’s a bummer! Money lets us do fun stuff and eat yummy treats and things. Though when the Mum shows me what money is, I think it’s dumb because it just smells weird.
Okay so guess what? The Mum is taking me to a place called Idaho Falls! I haven’t been on a road trip for a while so I hope I’m not too nervous about it. But the Mum says I’ll be fine because I’ve had like a whole week of resting. She didn’t try to teach me anything for the last three days (isn’t that a whole week?) so she says I’ll be all rested up and ready to go!
I am going with the Mum, Chase, Jet, Aunt Marie, and my sheltie cousins Twist and Dare. Me and Dare get to be in Rally again! It’s AKC rally this time but the Mum says I won’t hardly even know a difference. I just have to do what she says and stay with her and I’ll be fine. She says maybe I’ll even get a title called an RN! Maybe I’ll be a Registered Nurse! Or she really says it’s called Rally Novice so that’d be even more fun!
The Mum is gonna bring her computer so I can blog about it after I do it. I do it Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I need Qs every day to get the RN title. And the Mum says she might even get laptop insurance so that her laptop won’t break while we are up there!
So anyway wish me luck and that I’m not too nervous!
So the Mum tells me that she lost two whole of my posts! She is mean. She says it wasn’t her fault, that it was something about a host change or something and she didn’t know about it and didn’t understand it. But she usually understands everything so I don’t know why she wouldn’t understand this.
So the Mum says I have to post this post again even though I don’t remember much about what I said! But let’s see… I know it was about having resting days. I get tired when the Mum makes me work really hard. And working is hard even though it’s fun at the same time and I get to eat yummy treats like Tuna Brownies. But sometimes I want rest and then to let the mum read about antenna reviews and weird things like that. She likes to watch TV and she also likes to listen to music that takes invisible waves over the radio and she needs an antenna to get that, even though lots of bugs also have antenna on their heads to pick up sounds and they are just kinda gross.
So anyway I get to rest today BUT not tomorrow! I’ll post about that later.
Okay so the Mum said she lost some of my posts and I’m going to type about that again even though I’m typing about it now… because I did that post before I’m doing this post but they need to be on the same days they were on before and the Mum lost the old posts! Bleh. She’s kinda dorky sometimes.
So this is kinda a middle way post with nothing much to say except that my brother Jet likes to play tug with designer ties and he got one of my Dad’s and the Dad didn’t really like it very much! But the Mum laughed and so did I because if the Dad didn’t leave them out, then Jet wouldn’t chew them up!
So the Mum says I need to post one more time about the cool Q that we got in Rally-O. So here is a fun picture of the Mum and me after the trial. And I know that I’m the prettiest and there should have been an award for prettiest but there wasn’t.
Here you can see me with the Ribbon that I won. Mum likes ribbons, but I don’t care much for ribbons. I just like the cookies that I get after I get the Q. And you can see the froggie toy I won for Jet, too. The Mum is really proud of the ribbon and of me and keeps talking about how good I did.
She said I get to go to a place called Idaho Falls later this month to do more Rally-Obedience. This will be an AKC Rally and it should be just similar and the Mum thinks that maybe I can get a title. Then I’d be Tatum Tot Spice CGC RN. RN stands for Rally Novice. The trial is three days long and if we get Qs all three days then I’d have that RN title too. The Mum is excited! I’m just nervous and I hope for lots of cookies! And maybe no dereon because I don’t think I can eat those. I like to eat yummy things, like Tuna Brownies!
Okay so the Mum is asking me about what hoomans wear and what do I know about that? I just don’t know much. What do you know about it? Jet knows that if the Mum and the Dad leave their clothes on the floor, that he’ll grab them up and take them outside and play tug with them! Whether it’s women’s clothing or men’s clothing, Jet doesn’t care. And if it’s one of the Dad’s Polo Shirts, or one of his old grungy T-shirts too. Or sometimes even his boxer shorts!
So anyway though sometimes the Mum and the Dad have to put nice clothes on after they shower (oh man, showering is so horrible! Why do they do it?) and then they go out somewhere fancy. But most of the time they just lay around at home and don’t do much and wear grungy clothes. And that’s what I like because then if us dogs get them dirty, they don’t care, because they are already dirty!
So yesterday the Mum dig up the big glass box thingy that she calls a Fish Tank, but I don’t know why she calls it a Fish Tank because there are no fish in it. I would know, since I like to EAT fish. But I sure don’t like to eat the things that are in that tank! And there’s no water either, just a lot of dirt at the bottom. And they are called Hermit Crabs and if they get too close, they will grab you on the nose and pinch you!
But the Mum is good and she doesn’t let the icky Hermit Crabs get too close to me or the other dogs. We stay away, even when they crawl out of their little plastic tubs she put them in when she was cleaning their icky tank. But they are all put away again and the Mum just watched them and watched them and thought they were so funny when they crawled around to check out their new digs. I just thought they were icky!
So the Mum tells everybody that she knows that it’s not very safe to drive fast. Because the Mum has been in three car accidents that were really, really bad and they scared her a lot. And she says that the only reason she is alive today is because of the seat belts she was wearing.
So the Mum doesn’t speed either, because she knows that it’s not safe. And she drives the speed limit (okay she does go over the speed limit once in a while). But she hasn’t gotten a speeding ticket since she was like 17 years old, which was like a zillion years ago in dog years. Humans live so long it’s just weird. But so the Mum doesn’t have radar detectors in her cars because she doesn’t go so fast as to need them.
It’s just safer to go slower and be good. The Mum said she was in two rollovers, and with one even Lucy was with her! And she doesn’t ever want to get into an accident like that every again. Her first rollover no dogs were with, just her Mum and her Dad, which was scary too. And then she said a lady ran a red light in front of her going to work a couple of years ago, and she t-boned that lady. But if the timing was any different the lady would have smashed right into the drivers side of the car and the Mum could have been really badly hurt, and that would have been super bad.
So let’s everyone drive really safely and not too fast so the cops don’t pull anyone over! Let’s all be safe!
This picture is not of a scary place…. this picture is of the fun hiking place we went to up in the mountains which I really liked and had a good time doing. But on Sunday the Mum took me to a kinda scary place. Even though my friend Daniel was there, he’s a Cattledog and he’s really nice and I love to play with him, but the inside of the building was weird and sounded funny and I didn’t like it very much. I didn’t even really want the tuna brownies the Mum gave me. But I did some lay on my mat and some go over the jump and some walk around and it wasn’t too bad. And I did some lay in the crate and that was good too!
So I was thinking that it’s always good to have something that makes sure the car works okay because if the car breaks down and it’s too hot outside, and you are stuck in a scary place, then it’s too hard to get home! So there are places like Chicago auto repair that can make sure your car works really well. Though the Mum wouldn’t ever leave me anywhere. She makes sure we are all safe and that is really the best, she’s a good Mum even though she pushes me sometimes and I get a bit scared. Though we don’t have a Toyota Corolla, the car we do have is really safe and the air conditioner works really well. You don’t want the water pump going out on a hot day because that would be really dangerous.
Us dogs, and people too, can get over-hot and then we can get sick and maybe even die and that’s not a good thing! We want to live long fun healthy lives and so the Mum and the Dad take good care of us and take us home where there is a nice Swamp Cooler to keep us cool. So I got to go home after on Sunday and relax and boss everyone around again and that was great!
