I Am Tired

Oh boy Oh boy today was a fun day! The Mum took me and Muffit to training! It’s a lot of work, you know. I worked on the upright poll thingies and the Mom wanted me to go right in between them before I could get my treat.  But before I can go I have to sit, and give the Mum my paw for a touch, and then I get a treat and I can go.  Because then I know that the Mum is part of the whole fun thing.  ‘Cause sometimes I just want to do it on my own, but I’m getting the hang of letting the Mum think she is in control!

So without getting a 4gb micro sd to help out with my memory… I was able to remember the whole procedure and the Mum was happy because my tail was up the whole time and I did have fun. The Mum says she can always tell what I’m feeling because my tail tells everyone!  I try to control my tail but sometimes it’s just too hard.

So it was fun, then Muffit got to do some mat work while I took a nap because I was tired. Then we got home and I’m still tired!  So goodnight everydog! Oh and I hope everydog has a happy New Year!

Okay so this isn’t really an easy game at all DESPITE what it looks like from Muffit playing the game. I am posting two videos, the first one is of me playing, and the second one is of my brother Muffit playing. The Mum didn’t want to put all six of us’s videos on Tip Tail so she is having me put me and Muffit’s videos on my blog.

But my blog is better and more fun anyway than hers. If you want to see Lucy playing the Muffin Tin Game you’ll have to go over to Tip Tail!

The Mum says this is a super fun thing to do on these cold winter days where we all just stay in the house and sleep and don’t do much. And I’ve been kinda cranky at Lucy and Angel and Chase lately and the Mum says ‘nooo Tatum don’t be grumpy at them’ so the Mum is saying she needs to bring in a crate for me but HRMPH I don’t want a crate I want to run and run and run! No need for weight loss products for me because I just run!

So here is me playing the Magic Muffin Tin Game and so what if I’m not all that fast at it? I’m sure the cutest at it! Mine is about 9 minutes long so if you like looking at how cute I am please watch! Muffit’s is only a couple minutes long so you don’t have to watch him as much.

So that is the Magic Muffin Tin Game have you ever played before? If you haven’t maybe the Mum or the Dad in your house can set it up and you can play and take a video ’cause I want to see you other superdogs play too!

We had a busy weekend and I didn’t have any time to post anything at all! The Mum took me, Muffit, Levi and Chase out to an agility trial!  It was fun and Sunday we got to run and run and run on the grassy area a little bit too.  The Mum says, though, it’s hard to let all four of us run when Muffit and I don’t come back very well yet.  But we just like to run!

The Mum didn’t even get any pictures of me she only got some of Muffit when he was lying on his mat. Though he did a really good job and he didn’t keep me awake in my crate all day! He was really quite in his own crate! The Mum was happy with him too.  And he doesn’t much like to wear his gentle leader but the Mum says it helps him a lot instead of choking him on his collar.

Me and the Mum went and practiced something called Rally-O.  And i didn’t really know what she wanted me to do, but I followed her around and I wanted to sniff all the signs that were out.  So the Mum let me sniff some of them and then said “Tatum let’s work!” and working is usually fun ’cause I learn stuff and get to eat lots of treats.  But I was really distracted because there was agility going on and lots of dogs around so it was kinda hard for me. But the Mum was glad my tail stayed up and I stayed happy the whole time and I did!

So it was fun and no one got hurt with cerebral palsy so that was really good. Chase and Levi won the Mum a lot of ribbons and that makes the Mum very happy!

Today I went with the Mum, Chase, Muffit and Angel to flyball practice. Angel got to come ’cause the Mum says she doesn’t get to go out much and she really likes to come and say hi to people and eat treats. And Chase’s tooth is better so he got to play tug. And Muffit got to go to and the Mum thinks he is doing better with all the distractions!

And so lookit what I got to do! Finally the dumb Mum remembered to ask Aunt Christy to take pictures of me as I’m learning the jumps and aren’t I cute! And I’m fast too!

This first jump is Aunt Laurie holding onto me so I can run over all the jumps!

Then when I see the Mum call me from the other side of the jumps, and then the Mum runs off and I just have to chase her! And I go over all four jumps and it’s fun! The Mum wasn’t running at first and that was kinda boring so I’d go run off by myself but then when the Mum started to run, I ran too!

Lookit me go! It’s super fun to learn to go over jumps! The Mum says I am a really fast collie girl when I want to be. And yup that’s true, it’s when I want to be! I like to do things my own way and then it’s fun!

Woo Hoo!

And aren’t I just the cutest collie you’ve ever seen doing flyball jumps! The jumps don’t have any ball lock pins, they are just wood aren’t they neato?

A Treat For Reward!

And then at the end of the jumps the Mum gives me yummy treats! They are super good to eat and so I stop and eat them right up!

So I get to do flyball more in a couple of weeks! I hope the Mum starts to teach me how to do the box… she says the prop thingy she had isn’t tall enough and I just walk over it, I don’t jump. So if she’d ever remember to have the Dad make a taller one, then we could learn more!

I like flyball and learning. Though I like to do it how I want to. But the Mum says if we are going to compete then I have to learn her rules.  Well, I guess I’ll do that too then!  Flyball is fun!

The Disembodied Food Hand

Today is a rest day ’cause the Mum says she needs rest days. i don’t know why because I have every day as a rest day almost. Except the learning days which are more fun than the rest days. So are the running amok in the dog park and getting lost for 20 minutes days. But today is a rest day not a running or learning day.  Tomorrow will be a flyball day and I’m excited for that!

I just kinda wanted to show you a picture of how the Mum is supposed to teach me how to do things.  See the disembodied hand that has yummy treats in it? Well that is always supposed to be there! And the Mum thinks she wants me to do some things without that hand there with the treats in it. HRMPH.

So when the hand goes away so does my attention. I like food and dogs and running!  The Mum tells me I’ll like agility too and I probalby will. It’s just that the Mum and I have to work out who is boss and what we do between the agility stuff.  And I think I should tell her what to do, but she thinks she should tell me what to do.  So the Mum is trying to be firm with me and, well, yeah I guess i give in.  ‘Cause she is the Mum after all. And even though before I came to live here and I lived in the icky place that didn’t have enough food or water, and sometimes I still get afraid of hoomans even though they seem pretty nice, I think some of them are trustworthy even though I’m still testing them all!

I'm Tired Today!

ooo the Mum is a silly Mum. Today the Mum took me to a place called a Dog Training Place called Willow in the Creek. I didn’t see any willows or any creeks but I did see some other dogs and I got to go through a tunnel!

Me and the Mum are having a bit of a disagreement lately. The Mum thinks that I should do things that she wants me to do, when she wants me to do them. Well, I’d rather do what I want to do, when I want to do them!  So today we argued a little bit and.. well, I didn’t really win but I did get to hide in the tunnel and not come out!

There is this grassy place with a fence around and fun agility stuff inside. And the Mum wants me to go over a jump and then get a treat. That’s okay but I’d rather do it how I want to do it. And I’d rather run around and around the place first before I come and get the treat. And the Mum says well… she sometimes takes me by the collar because I’m being a bit stubborn!  And so she brings me to the jump, then I have to touch her hand with my paw, then I get a click and a treat, then I do the jump! Then I get a treat on a plate, then I do another jump and get another treat but I have to sit for it too.

The Mum is making me work so very hard!  I have to do the paw touch and the sit and all that stuff just to get a treat. Hrmph! Well I guess that’s okay ’cause I do love the Mum and it’s fun to go and do stuff, but I do really think I should be boss of it all and not her! But she disagrees. Doesn’t everydog know that smooth sable collie girls are princess and going to be Queens and should get what we want? If I don’t get what I want, I might have to look for motorcycle accident attorneys and slap a lawsuit on the Mum!

So then when the Mum told me to go through the tunnel, after a paw touch and a click, then I ran in as fast as I could and then just stopped and looked out and I laughed and laughed at the Mum and my Aunt Edie!  Bahaaaa!!  I didn’t have to come out!

It made the Mum laugh too and she was rolling on the ground looking at me peeking out of the tunnel.  He he I’m such a smart sneaky collie girl. Then they took the tunnel away, which wasn’t nice of them, so then we tried the teeter totter and I had to do the paw touch first, then I got to go on it and it’s fun too! I think I’m gonna like agilities, as soon as I get the Mum and Aunt Edie trained up so I can do it the way I want to! 

I have been doing some fun things and some boring things lately.  The Mum is going to start bringing me to a training place on Fridays in the mornings so we can practice some agility stuff. Last Friday wasn’t too fun because the Mum wasn’t in a very good mood and so I didn’t really want to do anything.  But then my Aunt Trainer helped her and we got better and I learned that going over a jump I got a treat, then another jump and I got another treat from the Mum.

The Mum says we will have fun and I think it’ll be fun too, as long as the Mum isn’t in a grumpy mood!  Today we went out into the front yard and did the weaving poll things again and the Mum would say Woo Hoo and how awesome I was at starting to wiggle through the upright polls!  And I get them most of the time, but sometimes the yummy treats on the white lid distract me and I try to go around the polls instead of through and then the Mum doesn’t let me get the treats. Hrmph!

Well maybe the Mum would be distracted by an Oscar de la Renta because she likes stuff like that but I just like treats and play!

Oh and also we have another friend here visiting her name is Sadie and if the Mum would find the camera’s battery charger we could get some pictures of us playing! Have a good day everydog!

Well pooh, the Mum is gonna be taking a long trip and she’s leaving on Saturday, which is the day after tomorrow for all you doggers who aren’t sure what day of the week it is. Saturday is hooman stay home day and training day and have fun day, but not this week for me!

The Mum says she’s going to be going on a big boat, whatever that is. And it’s on the water.. I know what water is! And she’s going to be gone for a whole week!

A cool thing, though, when the Mum gets back guess what we are gonna do… guess guess guess!! Oh.. give up? Ookay then!

We are gonna do Cyber Agility!!!!! I am so excited! The Mum says it should be super fun for both of us, and she might teach Muffit some of the stuff too. I already now how to walk through polls and that’s a good start! And I know how to do the clicker too and that’s a good thing! It’s all clicker trained and it’ll be a ton of fun.

But we can’t start until she gets back. Poopers! Oh well, I will just bite the Dad in the butt until the Mum gets back and we get to play. The Mum says she will take us places in my minivan (she drives for me ’cause all princesses have drivers) and will make sure our auto insurance is up to date and then we can play in the park and learn at the park too. Ooo how fun!

I’ll be posting updates on my agility lessons! And I hope to get online on the Dad’s computer once in a while when the Mum is gone. She doesn’t leave until Saturday so I hope to post a bit more before she goes!
