My New Brother Quinn

Well I haven’t been posting anymore but I had to let everyone know about my new collie brother Quinn. He is a smooth blue collie and he came from New Mexico. He’s been living with us for about three weeks now and I guess he’s alright. I wasn’t too crazy about him at first.

The last couple of days though we’ve been playing and I do have to say that he is fun to play with, because he plays like a collie. And no one in our house plays like a collie!

Quinn is kinda little now but the Mum says he’s growing fast and soon he’ll be bigger even than me. But that’s okay because I’ll still boss him around even if he’s bigger than me. Because I’m the girl and I’ll always be boss of him.

He is kinda cute and the Mum likes him a lot. Jet is kinda jealous of Quinn. Quinn gets into EVERYTHING and the Mum is always giving him toys and bones to chew on instead of the furniture and sticks and other weird stuff.

He’s kinda fun and he’s really silly but I think he’s going to fit into our household pretty good.

My Birthday Pizza

Today was my made up barkday! I like barkdays, because the Mum and the Dad get us these really yummy Barkday Pizzas from the local dog Barkery and they are super good. The Barkery makes lots of yummy cookies and treats and pizzas and they are superly duperly good. I got to eat this one on my own! But then the Mum and Dad actually made me share with my brothers. I guess they can have a little bit, but I really wanted it all. Though the Mum says that I’d get fat if I ate it all. But being fat and happy would be fun!

The Mum says I’m going to go with her and Jet this weekend for some agility, too. I haven’t done it in a month or so, so I’ll try my best, but if I don’t run fast, that’s okay, I’ll just go and have fun and hang out with the Mum and Jet!

Me On The Chari

Well guess what? The Dad hooman got a job! Cool huh? The Mum is so excited her eyes leaked… which is weird. Mum is just weird. Mum says that she will be glad to spend money on fun dog stuff and bills and stuff without having to worry about it anymore. Dad has been going to a place called School for a long time. Which is nice because he can be home with us a lot and I get to bark at him. But now he won’t be around as much which will be a bummer. But the Mum says we can have more bones and toys now so I guess it’s a trade off. Maybe even some log beds which would be comfy.

So anyway the Mum doesn’t know if she wants to help me blog anymore, so I may not do it for a while. But she will post things on her blog Tip Tail and I’ll be up there. And maybe she’ll have more time to post there if she’s not helping me so much. So I hope ya’ll will come and visit the Mum’s blog!

My Belly

Sometimes when I’m feeling really comfortable at home I lay on my back. I don’t do it very often, and the Mum thinks I’m funny so has to take pictures of me. And this was me, the other day, on the bed sleeping on my back. It’s really comfy sometimes to sleep this way, especially on the nice soft bed.

Some people might want toys r us jobs but I really just like to play doggie games, run in the park, and eat tuna. I have hard enough jobs doing the training stuff that the Mum wants me to do! But it’s been fun getting treats in the yard lately, and the weather is good too!

Me At The Back Door

The Mum was super mean today and gave me a bath. Yesterday she was mean to Jet because he got two baths. He had fun at the park and rolled in something really stinky. So the Mum and us came home and Jet got a bath. But then the Mum let him outside in the back yard so that he could run around to dry off, but he ended up getting all dirty again, so he had another bath! That’s so awful, I feel bad for my brother Jet. After that he got blow-dried with the hair drier. I don’t like the hair drier but Jet kinda likes it. He thinks it’s warm and comfy. But I think it’s loud and scary.

I think we should find the Mum some Housing for seniors that she can go live in so she doesn’t give us baths anymore. I really hate them and I always try to hang onto the side of the tub. But the tub has a glass door so I can’t get out. It’s really mean. But the Mum says I smell really nice afterwards. I just want to smell like a dog!

Me and Muffit

Sometimes the Mum comes home from work early she takes us for walks. I used to like going for walks best with Levi. He’d let me know when there were people that needed to be barked at. And there were a lot of them! I really miss walking with my brother Levi. Now I get to walk with my border collie brother Muffit. He’s okay but he doesn’t bark at people. He’s silly and he whines at dogs. Why would you do that? Barking at dogs is silly. Barking at people is what it’s all about. I like people and after I bark at them I usually like a head rub but some people don’t really understand that.

Maybe I need to send birthday cupcakes on line after I bark at people. Maybe that would make them more happy! I like doggie birthday pizza. The Mum says she’ll get me one this year for my made-up birthday in May. I hope so! And Jet gets one in April, so we’ll have two and we all get to share!

The Mum says when a new collie puppy comes, he’ll only get to walk with Jet. Because Jet doesn’t bark at either people or dogs and is quiet, even though he runs around on his flexi leash a lot. the Mum says she wants a collie puppy to learn good habits. Isn’t barking a good habit? I sure think so!

Miss March

This month I’m famous, if you bought a copy of the Houston Collie Rescue Calendar. Isn’t it neat? I’m Miss March. This picture is of me when I got my Rally Novice title in Idaho Falls a couple of years ago. It was fun though the Mum has to tell me what to do more because sometimes I’m not really sure what she wants! And it’s hard when there’s no treats around, too. And I don’t like montecristo cigars, I like tuna brownies the very best.

So I thought I’d show this cool picture of me as Miss March on the calendar. Neat huh? My Mum has it hanging on the wall at her work. She says that she’ll tear out this page and put it up on her wall at work and keep it there forever too because it’s just so neat. Though I think every month should be March when my picture is on March!

Comfy Onna Bed

Onna Bed

I like to lay on super comfy things. This is a picture of me laying on a bed that the Mum made up for us. It has a 3 inch comfy foam bed, then a bed with edges (edges are my favorite) and then on top another comfy squishy bed. How can a dog bed get any better?

For this bed I won’t need any speedglas because I don’t sleep fast. I sleep slow and long and I like it very much. Sometimes I sleep on the hooman bed with the Mum, but mostly I don’t because it’s just weird. And Jet sleeps up there and he needs lots of growling at and sometimes I get too tired to growl. So I just sleep in the front room on a chair on on a dog bed instead.

Eating Dinner

Since Levi has been gone I get to eat out of his bowl now. The Mum says the oldest collie gets to use the elevated bowl. Though Chase might get it if he gets sore and stiff. Chase is the oldest dog in our house now. He is my Border Collie Brother and he’s 8.5 years old. I’m only 6 years old… well I’ll probably be 6 six years old in May. The Mum doesn’t know my exact birthday so she made it up for me. And I don’t remember when I was born. Of course not, I was just a puppy how could I have known?

I plan on having lots of energy though for many years to come. I still like to play with my brothers, and beat them up, or well I tell them how things are and then sometimes I play with them too. I don’t bunny hop in the yard as much as I did when I was a younger girl, but I still like to play. Maybe I can find some connecticut energy too and then I’ll have a bigger boost of energy to play with the boys. I like being the old girl dog so that I can boss the silly boys around!

Being Comfy

Me Comfy

Well the days are going by and we are doing okay in our house even though we miss Levi still. The Mum goes through days where she cries a lot, and then a couple days where she is okay. I’m just getting better a little bit at a time and it helps to go on walks and to the park. Though I really liked to walk with Levi best of all the dogs, because he would tell me who to bark at and who not to. I’d watch him and if he started to bark, then I knew it was time. But now I go on walks with Muffit and he’s not really as fun as Levi was.

The Mum’s cleaning up the house a little bit and this is a picture of me on the comfy chair with the dog beds on the chair. I like to be comfy, it’s nice to lay on super soft things and there are lots of them around our house.
