Tatum Tot Spice

Today I went with the Mum, Chase, Muffit and Angel to flyball practice. Angel got to come ’cause the Mum says she doesn’t get to go out much and she really likes to come and say hi to people and eat treats. And Chase’s tooth is better so he got to play tug. And Muffit got to go to and the Mum thinks he is doing better with all the distractions!

And so lookit what I got to do! Finally the dumb Mum remembered to ask Aunt Christy to take pictures of me as I’m learning the jumps and aren’t I cute! And I’m fast too!

This first jump is Aunt Laurie holding onto me so I can run over all the jumps!

Then when I see the Mum call me from the other side of the jumps, and then the Mum runs off and I just have to chase her! And I go over all four jumps and it’s fun! The Mum wasn’t running at first and that was kinda boring so I’d go run off by myself but then when the Mum started to run, I ran too!

Lookit me go! It’s super fun to learn to go over jumps! The Mum says I am a really fast collie girl when I want to be. And yup that’s true, it’s when I want to be! I like to do things my own way and then it’s fun!

And aren’t I just the cutest collie you’ve ever seen doing flyball jumps! The jumps don’t have any ball lock pins, they are just wood aren’t they neato?

A Treat For Reward!

And then at the end of the jumps the Mum gives me yummy treats! They are super good to eat and so I stop and eat them right up!

So I get to do flyball more in a couple of weeks! I hope the Mum starts to teach me how to do the box… she says the prop thingy she had isn’t tall enough and I just walk over it, I don’t jump. So if she’d ever remember to have the Dad make a taller one, then we could learn more!

I like flyball and learning. Though I like to do it how I want to. But the Mum says if we are going to compete then I have to learn her rules.  Well, I guess I’ll do that too then!  Flyball is fun!

The Mum took us to flyball practice today! It was fun. I like run-around days better than rest days. Though a couple of rest minutes are okay once in a while. See above I’m resting in the pen with Angel and Muffit.  Angel liked to come too… she hasn’t ever come to flyball with us before. Chase had to stay home because he had a tooth pulled out (OUCH) and the Mum says his mouth has to heal up before he can play tug again. Chase was so mad when we left!  Poor Chase loves flyball it’s his favorite. He had to stay home like our other car in our carports that doesn’t get to go out anymore and the Mum wants to sell it, want to buy a car?

My very favorite thing to do is to run and run around like I’m doing here!  After flyball practice we all get to run and run ’cause it’s safe as there is a whole fence around. So it makes it so us young dogs who forget to come with our Mums and Dads call us won’t get lost on accident. We don’t want to get lost we just get a little bit distracted some of the time!

And Muffit loves to run around too. Above he us running around with Kibu, she is a fast and fun dog on our flyball team too. She is fun to play with and she likes to play and play and run and run too. I want to play with her more but the Mum says we are so busy we hardly have time to go and have a play date with Kibu!

And Angel got to come with, too. She doesn’t get to go out much ’cause the Mum is always taking out me and Muffit and Levi and Chase and so Lucy and Levi don’t get to go as much. But the Dad takes them for walkies sometimes and that is fun too. Angel had fun with and she got to bark and bark and she loves to do that. And at flyball practice barking is really fun and everyone does it and it’s okay to do!

And guess who this cute little guy is!!?? His name is Sundance and he’s the youngest member of our flyball team! Isn’t he just the cutest? The Mum loves taking pictures of puppies and I love playing with puppies and I’m puppy safe which is the bestest!

So now we are all gonna go to sleep because we are tired, especially me and Muffit and Angel. We had fun barking and running and barking. Oh and I did try to go over some jumps again and I had to sit and shake a paw then get a click and a treat.. and I’d go to the Mum but then I was going to have to go back to Aunt Laurie and I wasn’t too sure about that.  So I wanted to run off and go Woo Hoo instead! So the Mum put a big long leash on me and I went ‘pfft’ and then I stuck around. But it was kinda fun anyway. And the Mum says if I learn the rules to these games I’ll have even more tons of fun because it’s rules that make things really fun. So I dunno about that but the Mum seems right so far!

On Saturday morning the Mum, Me, Chase, Marley and Aunt Christy went to do a flyball demo in Salem and we went in my new cool Minivan. I hope the Mum has gotten auto insurance online for it, so we can all be safe! The Salem is in Utah.. not Oregon where the scary Salem is. This was a goofy Salem city and the dog event there was small. And I didn’t get to do flyball yet but I did get to do the obedience thing but I didn’t know what stay meant.. what is that anyway? But I can sit and stand and down real pretty!

There was a critter there called a Llama that was super tall. I kinda sniffed at his nose but didn’t care about him much more than that. I liked sniffing with the other dogs better. Chase got to do flyball and he doesn’t care about Llamas or little cows when he’s doing flyball. There were little cows too and they got married and the Mum thought that was kinda dumb. But she thinks hooman marriage is kinda dumb too so don’t listen to her!

I got to wear my Tiara a little bit but the Mum kinda put it on crooked so it looks a bit funny here. She hasn’t put the ear holes in yet like she is supposed to so that it’ll fit on my non furry head and with my perky cute ears better. The Mum is kinda slow about stuff like that.

The Mum was painting the spare bedroom today though, which she’s put off for eight years she says (I haven’t even been alive that long!) and I helped and I’ll show you pictures of that later!

Yup we loves flyball! We are goin’ again this weekend. We are leaving tomorrow. Headed in my new minivan down to St. George.

So while I’m there, maybe I’ll put in some Los Angeles resumes so that I can move to LA! But Utah is kinda nice here. and my brother Chase and me can play flyball!

This evening me, Muffit, and Chase took the Mum to flyball practice. Well, she drove, but I wanted to. She made us all sit in seat belts the whole way. She used to just have us in seat belts on the freeway but since her car accident on Friday she is making us always seatbelted in. But I guess we are safer so that’s okay.

We had fun and I got to bunny hop over some fun jumps. The Mum says I’m supposed to run over them but it’s more fun to bunny hop over them! And Muffit got to show off how well he’s doing on the box! He did great! But then when the Mum took his leash off he just wanted to go play with Oreo and not go over jumps. Muffit and me both like other dogs a lot. Chase, he just likes flyball and tugging a lot.

The Mum didn’t bring her good camera so she took these with her cell phone. Her cell phone takes dumb pictures but they are better than nothing. And then the Mum went to the bathroom at the park and said the bathroom fixtures were really icky so she wouldn’t bring me in. Oh well, it probably smelled bad anyway!

So while the Mum was off doing stuff without me Chase and Muffit, we got to stay in the pen. And I decided that I’m boss of Muffit. So I kept him away from having any water, and if I had to tell him I was boss so I’d jump on his back and growl at him. He heheee… I am so smart and tough! The other hoomans at the flyball practice said that the Mum has created a monster (me? a Monster? no way!) and spoiled me too much. But hey, I’m a smooth sable collie girl and I’m the smartest and the bossiest! Though Lucy still thinks she’s boss here at home. I now for sure I am boss of Muffit and I sure let him know!

Anyway.. time to get to sleep now. I’m tired from running around and bunny hopping and eating lots of treats. It was fun though!

I got back from our flyball trip to Laramie, Wyoming today. It was a fun trip. I went with the Mum, Muffit, Chase, the nail-trimming flyball captain lady (who isn’t too evil really) and her Jack Russel Terrier, Chase Me. He was cute and I wanted to play with him. I kept play bowing in the hotel but he didn’t want to play! He is weird! And I did bite the lady on the but and that was fun and we all laughed!

This first picture is of me being really pretty outside. My Aunt Mimi from Colorado, she took some pictures of me. She has a new baby puppy too, a little aussie girl named Cue, and I wanted to play with her too! I will see about posting some of her pictures too. She is puppy baby so didn’t need adult diaper, but she could have used puppy ones!

The flyball tournament was loud and noisy too. But we were inside and this picture on the right is me in my crate that was on top of my brother Chase’s crate. Chase is the only one who knows how to do flyball yet. Me and Muffit don’t, but we are gonna learn and have fun and run around and hop like bunnies! Well okay maybe just I hop like a bunny but it’s fun anyway.

Then this picture to the left is of me in front of the flyball racing lanes. There were lots of dogs barking and making noise and loud sounds behind me so I wanted to keep my ears back to listen to them instead of pose for the camera. But usually I like to pose for the camera.

We had fun though… out back of the hotel there was this really big field and the Mum let me and Muffit off the leashes! Chase always gets off the leashes, but me and Muffit kinda get distracted so she likes to keep us close. But we got to play with Kibu, a fun black dog on our flyball team. And run around and run around in the weeds. And there was this super fun stream back there too, and we all went and splashed in the water! The Mum said YUCK when we came out because… well, my front legs were covered with back goo. We laughed! But then we didn’t laugh when we had to have a bath when we got home. Yuck! The Mum said we stank!

It was a long drive home, about six hours, and we slept. I pushed Muffit and Chase out of the way in the back seat of the car and got most of the room myself, since that is how collie girls are supposed to be. And border collie boys are just supposed to let us. So they did.

And this last picture is of me sleeping… though I’m kinda giving the Mum the evil eye ’cause she is snapping a picture instead of letting me sleep. I like to sleep in the afternoons. But not in the mornings. I got the Mum and the nail-trimming lady up nice and early this morning, with nice big yaps and plays!

Today the Mum took me, Chase and Muffit to a park where we got to bark. I didn’t bark much, though. She said it was a get together thing called Bark in the Park. Muffit barked a lot! Chase barked a little. And I barked some too when we were all in our crates in our shade tent and people walked by. ‘Cause when Muffit and Chase bark I have to bark too, I can’t let them bark more than me!

There were lots of fun dogs there, and a pond where Chase got to go swimming. I don’t really like to swim, I just like to wade, so the Mum had me wait in the crate while Chase got to swim.

The Mum tried to get me to stay in one spot for pictures, but I like to move. She says someday soon I’ll learn that staying is the best, and I’ll get treats for it… but now I kinda get a little nervous still and so I wiggle and stand up and move. And there was no mat for me to sit on and so I didn’t know where I should stay.

But in these pictures you can see the tents behind me and all the people. There were lots of people with treats too, and me, Muffit and Chase got to run around a little bit, but not too much. Chase got to do flyball and he got to do obedience work with the Mum. I got to walk around and eat treats, and Muffit got to walk around too, and the Mum tried to get Muffit to watch her instead of everything going on. But he likes to watch everything going on. But he gets really nervous about it so the Mum says it would be better if he watched her instead.

Anyway, it was a fun day and it’s nap time, now, ’cause I’m tired! It took the Mum a long time to pack up all our crates and the tent and gear and stuff. She needs some custom boxes to load everything in to put it in the car. Us three got to wait and bark in the car while she was packing, that was fun too!

The Mum took me and Chase on another trip for Chase to do flyball. It was fun… and really hot. The Mum said it got up to 103 degrees outside. We were inside so we were okay, but the Mum got nervous a bit and was pouring water on both me and Chase and YUCK that part sucked! But then it did feel kinda good because I perked up my tail after I got wet and the breeze in my wet coat wasn’t so bad.

I also got a couple of massages from a really nice lady. And whenever the Mum and I walked by her place I ran over and stood on her mat. Because mats are cool and her’s was comfy and she was a really nice lady. I liked her massages though I didn’t want to really let her know too much because I’m juts that way.

This picture is of me sleeping in the hotel room. The hotel room was nice and cool and comfy. We went to St. George Utah and Chase got another flyball title, called his Top Flight Executive. The Mum says I can do flyball one day when I learn not to run around and play with the other dogs and don’t have the zoomies so much… but what fun is that?
