Me and Muffit!

The Mum is always taking me lots of places, she says it’ll build my character and make me more brave. Well I’m just brave enough as it is you know. But sometimes new places to scare me a little bit. But that’s okay because I always get to go home after and tell Lucy I’m boss (even though the Mum says that’s bad) and push the boys around.

Anyway so we went to this place called Camping last weekend. It was fun! I was a bit nervous at first, but then there was this girl human there named Madison and I followed her around a lot ’cause she had treats in her pockets. And she was just nice. And we got to go on lots of walks, and sleep in a place called ‘Trailer’. And it was okay but it was too cold at night. The Mum said the Dad ran out of Propanes and that’s why it didn’t get warm from the heater.

We stayed all Saturday, Sunday and came home on Monday. It was fun to dig and chase critters and play with my three brothers and two sisters. We all fit in the Mum’s car, too, but it was a bit tight!

Last weekend the Mum took me, Muffit, Chase and Levi to the agility trial. It was a lot of fun! I really like it there. I’m used to it now, and I get to see all the dogs and all the people and eat livers.

We even got to run outside without a leash on. It was fun to run a bit, but the Mum had good treats on her and so I kinda stuck around. I saw Riley again, who I haven’t seen in a while ’cause he has to fix his leg in an operation for an ACL something.. but he’s getting better now.

And then today the mum took me and Muffit to a dog park. I’d never been before but there was a Staffie there who I got to play with even though she was a bit pushy, she was nice. And then she left and the Mum and Muffit and me walked around and peed on everything. Muffit had been to dog parks before, he told me, and he knew all about the double gates and things. The Mum says Muffit and Me are the only two dogs here in the pack that would do okay in those fenced dog parks. I think it was fun!

So the Mum took me, Chase and Muffit to flyball practice again on Sunday! It was fun. I like to nibble on people I see there, because I can and I’m not afraid of them anymore. Nope.. I just can push them around instead of being afraid of them. I stayed in Las Vegas with them in that house too, so I know I can push them around now!

The Mum let me run around and bunny hop while we were there. She wanted me to go and play with her.. which is okay, but I like the other dogs better. Except when they don’t do anything, and then when the Mum does stuff, she is more fun to play with. I actually quite like her for a human!

This picture is of my and my new brother Muffit. He is fun but he doesn’t play with me as much as I’d like. The Mum says he is still settling in and, hopefully, will in the future.

Yesterday me, the Mum, Chase and Levi got to go to an agility trial. It was fun. I checked every human out to see if they had Livers. And guess what? They did! Amazing. People are not so bad when they have yummy Livers. The Mum said Chase and Levi had lots of fun too and did really well. She also said I did well too!

It got scary when we walked to the car because stupid Mum dropped my flexi leash. And I dragged it behind me and I panicked! Oh man! It was scary. I tried to run back into the big building but hit my head on the glass and then Aunt Astrid caught me up. I was pretty afraid for the rest of the night, but when we got home I just wanted to play with Chase and then eat dinner then sleep ’cause I was tired.

This morning the Mum took me and Tony out for a walk. It was fun at first but then got stressful ’cause of all the cars going around. I wanted to go home so the Mum took us home, and when we got home I wanted to play with Chase again. The Mum says play relieves stress but duh, I already knew that!

It was a fun couple of days. The Mum says that I won’t be as nervous the more i do stuff. I sure hope so. I don’t like being nervous.

The Mum gave me a bath today (because Chase peed on me yesterday), and it royally sucked. But then the Mum says how gorgeous I am and she brushes me and scratches me. But I already know I’m gorgeous. But I kinda like the Mum too, and the rest of the pack. It’s a pretty good life here.

GADS the Mum hasn’t let me on the computer forEVER! I mean it. She’s been doing computer things and says no time, Tatum, no time! And for us chatty collies we need computer time! Bah!

So she got a new camera, she thinks it’s pretty fancy and wanted me to put up these pictures of me that she took in the back yard. Chase likes to play with me in the snow, though still he doesn’t chase me ’round and ’round like I like. But he’s the best playmate I got so I live with it. Oh, except the Mum. She’s great to play with. I get to nip her in the but, and she squeals and it’s so fun!

But the Mum says that when I first came she wanted me to start playing with her a lot, and now that I know I’m safe here that I have to learn some playing rules and we get to play when the Mum wants. What about what I want? Bah. I’ll just nip her in the but to play anyway.

I’ve only been to the dog park twice. This was my second time. The Mum took me and Tony and Angel a few weeks ago but I was a bit nervous then. This time, I wasn’t nervous at all!

Today she took me, Levi, Chase and Tony. The Dad took Lucy and Levi for a walk around the house ’cause they don’t like to run run run like we do! I got to meet a ton of new dogs and we even saw Kibu from flyball! I wanted to go with all the other dogs too, and I kinda lost track of the Mum and Levi and Tony. Usually Chase would come to get me though, but then he’d just play with me and the other dogs and the Mum would have to come get us both!

Boy I’m tired now. I ran and ran and leaped and ran and plowed through the snow. Collies love the snow!

Now it’s nap time!

The Mum just made a blog for me.. and I don’t really know what it is yet, but I am trying to finger it out. I guess I can talk here about all the things I am doing, where I came from, and where I am going.

Though really, where I came from is behind me and I don’t think about it much anymore. And where I’m going is in front of me, and I don’t really think about it, either. I just really want to play, I love to play. Can I play with you?
