Went to a Hooman New Year Pawty

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

Well last night I had a super fun time! The Mum took me to a New Year Pawty.. though it wasn’t on New Years Eve or New Years Day, it still was in this New Year of 2009 so it was fun!

Watching FootsballWatching Footsball

Watching Footsball

For a little while I sat with the Hoomans and watched the TV. There was a Footsball game on, the University of Utah won the game! but I didn’t watch too long because I kinda thought it was boring. And I didn’t have any Swiss Army watches to with either… so I played with Sadie!

Playing with Sadie

Playing with Sadie

Sadie was super fun to with! She was a dog like me and she got this super great home with the Mum’s lady she works with, and her guy too! And Sadie is fun, she stayed with us a while ago and we got to at my house, and now we got to at her new house! They have a super huge back yard and we ran and ran and ran in the snow until we were wet and tired!

And the Hoomans watched us too and they thought we were really fun to watch. Oh and I only chased one of the kitties once. And the Mum said I wasn’t supposed to chase the kitties, but I did it anyway it’s too hard not to when they run!

Then after the and the Footsball Sadie and me got to chew pig ears!

And I chewed too, but I kinda had more fun rolling on the pig ear than chewing it!

And we had lots of fun at the Pawty!  The Mum was very happy that I got to come, and so was Sadie! And then on the way home in the car I slept the whole way because I was really super tired.  I hope to go with Sadie again soon!

The paths are fun and there is lots of snow on the trees.  It snowed all yesterday and we got lots of really fun snow, I like the snow! So instead of New York Yankees tickets we had a great day at the .

Lily and Pack

Then we went for a really looooong drive and guess what guess what?  We got another foster sister! The Mum is calling her Lily and she is a rough sable and she was was found on Friday night by a nice guy who took her in and kept her warm. Because it’s way too super cold outside. She has no microchip and she had no tags on, so we’ll see if we can find her home. But if not, she’s our foster sister for a bit! The Mum posted about her too on Tip Tail about Lily!

Sasha Needs Help!

Monday, December 15th, 2008

The Mum is telling me that Sasha’s medical bills might get higher after we go into the doggie doctor to find out what she has. And the Mum is afraid that Utah doesn’t have enough money in their bank account to pay for what she needs done. So she set up this way cool donation widget thingy so everyone can help! And if you want to see it about her you can go to Utah Collie Rescue’s Sasha Post!

If you can help out even a small amount for Sasha, maybe $10.00 even, that would be so super nice! If you can’t… maybe you could post about her and ask other people to come by and help? Utah is a 501c3 (whatever that means) official snazzy so all contributions are tax deductible!

Thanks everydoggie and everykitty and everyrattie and everyother fuzzy and non fuzzy!

I Like Sasha!

Thursday, December 11th, 2008
Sasha

Sasha

So this is Sasha! I like her a lot! Yesterday she came to stay with us for a while, last night after it go dark, and she went out into our back yard and it was dark and she did lots of potties out there, so the Mum thinks she is smart and knows not to potty in the house already! So we don’t have to go clear to the Outer Banks to get her to potty!

When we were outside last night I tried to bow to her and dart in and out and but she didn’t really want to yet. The Mum told me later that she’s probably nervous for coming to live here with us and it will take her a few days to settle in and relax. My Dad is going to take her to the doggie doctor today and get her all checked out.

Her poor nose is covered with scabs so hopefully the vet can help with that. She is a sweet girl and, like me, likes to rub her face and nose on hoomans. But the Mum says maybe she does that to itch her scabby nose and that might be bad ’cause it really needs to heal up.

Sasha’s teeth are really super icky too and she has bad breath so she will need a teeth cleaning.  But she doesn’t smell all that bad really, but with her silly long fur (smoothies are so much easier like me!) she’s starting to get some mats so the Mum is asking Aunt Laurie if she’ll groom her and bathe her.   So the Mum didn’t give out any baths last night yay!

I’ll keep ya’ll posted on how Sasha is doing because she is sweet and wonderful and really needs a super great awesome forever home!

Getting a Foster Sister!

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008
Sasha

Sasha

So the Mum calls me from work (okay she really called the Dad but I listened in) and told us that we are going to get a foster sister! Her name is Sasha and her people couldn’t keep her anymore and so dropped her off at the Utah Humane Society. I don’t know if Sasha was a very happy girl or not… the Humane Society people said that her nose is all scarred from her rubbing it on a chain link fence. :( And that is just kinda super sad. So she might have had to live outdoors instead of inside with a loving . And the that left her didn’t leave any information about her… but the nice lady at HSU said that she might not know to potty outside instead of inside (but sometimes I forget to do that too) and that’s okay at our house.

The Mum says we might need some wholesale shampoo because when long fuzzy haired rough collies come to us right from a shelter, they can be matted and even stinky.  So the Mum says tonight she is gonna probably be giving brushes and baths. So I better hide in case the Mum decides that I need a bath too. I don’t like baths but I like when our foster brothers and sisters smell better!

I’ll let you know tomorrow how Sasha is and if she will with me. I just have to tell my brother Chase to be nice to her because the HSU is not a fun place to have to stay… my brother Muffit stayed there for a while and he got super sick and he says it wasn’t fun at all, a home is a much better place.  So I’m excited to meet Sasha!

And Two Brothers Too!

Friday, October 10th, 2008

My Brother Quinn

My Brother Quinn

Oh my my oh gosh! I have two brothers too and they are named Quinn and Major! The Mum has said for ever that she wants to name a boy dog Quinn sometime. So I said why don’t we bring Major and Quinn to us and live here in our home? The Mum says we can’t, we have six of us dogs already and only two hoomans and we need more hoomans and not so many dogs? No that is not what the Mum meant! But we are a lot of dogs and even though the Mum would love more dogs to love she says she doesn’t have time or enough money. I don’t know what money is but but there is never enough time to !

My Brother Major

My Brother Major

While we all need exit signs to make sure we get out of scary situations, what we need most of all is to be brave. And the Mum has been teaching me how to be brave. And sometimes she says now I’m too brave when I bite her in the butt! But she laughs and giggles and so I know it’s okay. And I wish my brothers would find great wonderful homes soon. I’ve been in my home now for over a year. That is a lot of time! And I’m sad that Major and Quinn have not been in a home of their own yet. That is super sad. Though they do have a loving foster home but still, forever homes are better than foster homes.

So if you want to adopt a wonderful smooth boy please consider Major and Quinn! They are here on this website at South West Collie Rescue.

I love my brothers Major and Quinn and I still wish they could come live with us. But the Mum says when she does , and especially when she rescues us collies, that she just can’t help falling in love with us. And I know what she means ’cause I am so lovable! And fun and spunky and cute! So hopefully someone will give Quinn and Major forever homes soon. The Mum here is crying because she can’t bring them here to live with us… Ooo no crying Mum!
