Tatum Tot Spice

So the Mum took us up to do some agility practice Wednesday and she got some video of me doing it. And aren’t I good? I am, but I like to do the things I like to do and the jumps are not my favorite.

The walky things are my favorite, like the dog walky and the A-Frame walky and the table. Those are the very best of all and I think they are really fun! The Mum put lots of words on this video so the people that watch don’t think that the Mum is forcing me to do things that I don’t like. I really like it all but I try to get the Mum to do it my way and she says we have to do it her way! Maybe if I got her some jewelry making tools then she would let me do it my way instead. Or some hooman chocolate, she likes that a lot!

So the Mum says this is called K9 Nose Work and it’s a fun new sport where us dogs get to use our noses and find fun stuff! Well the stuff isn’t too fun eventually, but the finding of it is super fun!

Here is a video the Mum took of me doing it a little bit ago. I really love it! You get to sniff out treats in the house! Sometimes the treats are in the box. Sometimes the treats are on a chair. Sometimes they are just hidden in really weird places that I gotta find! The Mum does it with all of us and sometimes the other dogs get really jealous when I get to go. You can hear Jet in the background on this video, he is whining and crying so much because he wants his turn! But he gets lots of turns too. When he goes, I bark, because I want to go!

It’s way fun!

So yup I did more weave poll thingies in the back yard. The Mum says she wants me to practice every day. And since I don’t really know how to do them yet, I need the Mum there to practice with me. So she did some video of me last night and aren’t I just good? I had fun too, you can tell because my tail was wagging. I like eating the tune brownies! And even though it’s hard to learn the weave polls, this smooth collie girl can do it!

I think I’m starting to understand how it all works but it’s confusing and it’s hard to bend my body around those weird things! The Mum wonders who came up with these things anyway. Because they are hard for me to learn. Maybe I need some prenexa vitamins to help me be stronger so I can do them better. But the Mum says, we will keep trying, and I will learn soon!

This picture is not of a scary place…. this picture is of the fun hiking place we went to up in the mountains which I really liked and had a good time doing. But on Sunday the Mum took me to a kinda scary place. Even though my friend Daniel was there, he’s a Cattledog and he’s really nice and I love to play with him, but the inside of the building was weird and sounded funny and I didn’t like it very much. I didn’t even really want the tuna brownies the Mum gave me. But I did some lay on my mat and some go over the jump and some walk around and it wasn’t too bad. And I did some lay in the crate and that was good too!

So I was thinking that it’s always good to have something that makes sure the car works okay because if the car breaks down and it’s too hot outside, and you are stuck in a scary place, then it’s too hard to get home! So there are places like Chicago auto repair that can make sure your car works really well. Though the Mum wouldn’t ever leave me anywhere. She makes sure we are all safe and that is really the best, she’s a good Mum even though she pushes me sometimes and I get a bit scared. Though we don’t have a Toyota Corolla, the car we do have is really safe and the air conditioner works really well. You don’t want the water pump going out on a hot day because that would be really dangerous.

Us dogs, and people too, can get over-hot and then we can get sick and maybe even die and that’s not a good thing! We want to live long fun healthy lives and so the Mum and the Dad take good care of us and take us home where there is a nice Swamp Cooler to keep us cool. So I got to go home after on Sunday and relax and boss everyone around again and that was great!

So the Mum took some videos of my doing the weave polls today and she says I’m doing really well! Of course I am but I’m glad she thinks so to.

The Mum says that we won’t need any cheap insurance if I keep up doing so well! That I’ll stay young and healthy for a long time and do lots of fun agility. So what do you think about me weaving? I think it’s fun. It’s really hard though but I’m getting better all the time!

This is a picture of me tired. I am cute, even tired! Today after the Mum got home from work she took me, Chase and Jet to the park. And we did some obedience stuff. It’s okay, the Mum ran out of Tuna Brownies and so she stopped at the store and she got some yummy ham and turkey and those were good too. But I haven’t been getting out as much as I used to and so outside is a bit scarier than it was for a while. So the Mum says she’s going to take me out more and that’s good because it can be really fun!

So we did some heeling and some staying and some coming and stuff. It was okay, and the treats were yummy. They didn’t fit into jumbo envelopes though because they were kinda slimy. But I like slimy treats even though the Mum doesn’t like them much.

So now I’m gonna take a big long nap and rest!

So the Mum is trying to teach me to do something with this thing with ends on it, and put it in my mouth or something, and it’s weird. And I guess I’ll do it but she’s gotta give me something really super good for it!

She calls it a dumbbell and says it’s for obedience. And maybe I’ll never get that far in obedience but we have fun with it anyways. And you might want to turn your sound waaaaay down because my big sister Lucy is barking like a mad woman in the background and she drives us all batty. She just wants to eat all my Tuna Brownies! But she doesn’t get any!

So the Mum still doesn’t have any pictures but she does have this video for me to share!

Okay so I’ve been trying to post to my blog all day and I haven’t been able to and I don’t know why! The Mum had to come and press some buttons and fix it up and now it’s working again. Hrmph.

So well anyway I’ve been bored lately and the Mum still can’t post up any fun pictures of me because her computer is still broken. I wish she would fix it. We haven’t gone to the park or anything… OH but wait we did go to obedience lessons last Wednesday! That was really fun because the Mum brought Tuna Brownies and I’ll do anything for Tuna Brownies! She’s putting this stick in front of my eyes with a Tuna Brownie on it and then I have to to walk next to her and follow the treat. Mmmm it’s hard I want to just eat the treat! She says it’s called ‘Heeling’ but I’m not sure what to do exactly yet so I just follow the treat around and eat it when she says to Get It.

So maybe we don’t go do stuff for a while because she needs some insurance quotes or some weird human thing like that. I just dunno but I want to go to the park. Maybe we can go next weekend.

So the Mum says now that it’s warmer outside in the back yard that I get to do weave polls almost every day. Whenever she remembers and whenever she picks up the poop because we don’t like to do anything out back when there is icky poop out there!

So the last few days the Mom has set them up and I’ve gone through! And the Mum makes yumy Tuna Brownies for when I do it right! Though the Dad made them last time and he makes them better than the Mum does anyway. They don’t help me lose weight at all but I don’t need to I am skinny and pretty!

So the Mum says that I just have to practice them every day and then I’ll get really good so that I can do them without the guides she puts on. I need for her to get some video of me doing it because I’m learning them really well!

So the Mum has this new training plan for me and Jet and I’m kinda confused but I get to figure it all out because she tells me what she wants me to do with the clicker and then I get to eat treats if I get it right. But sometimes I want to hide like in this picture because sometimes the Mum is confusing and I’m not sure what she wants!

It’s kinda like entertainment centers when we have fun and it’s really entertaining, but sometimes it’s just hard. So the Mum sometimes wants me to put just my bum on the ground, and other times she wants me to put my whole body on the ground. And she says stuff but you know, it’s kinda hard to listen to her when there are lots of treats somewhere behind her! So sometimes I just do the same thing I did the last time but then I don’t get the treat and I forget to listen!

So I gotta try to remember to listen but I really just want to eat those yummy treats!
